Thank you in advance for expressing an interest in this consultative workshop study.

The following information outlines a research project being conducted by the Cooperative Research Centre for Living with Autism (Autism CRC). The aim of this research project is to develop a national guideline for ASD diagnosis in Australia.

Up to 60 participants per workshop will be given the opportunity to take part in a large-scale conversation on autism diagnosis, by voicing their opinions and sharing their experiences. The aim of these workshops is to gather a broad range of perspectives to inform the development of a consistent guideline for diagnosing autism on a national level. In particular, we are seeking input from:

•    Individuals on the autism spectrum and their caregivers
•    Service providers who are involved before, during or after the ASD diagnostic process
•    Policy makers, regulators and funding bodies

Workshops will be three hours in duration and will be held in capital cities across Australia. The workshop will commence with a brief presentation on the preliminary research findings and guideline structure. Participants will then have the opportunity to discuss different topics in small groups, before coming together for a collective discussion. Light refreshments will be provided during the workshop.

Registrations will open one month before each workshop, however please save the date and time of the workshop in your closest capital city:
