Researchers from The University of Queensland, funded by the Autism CRC, want to know about autistic adults’ experiences with general practitioners (GPs) and what training GPs need to improve the care provided to autistic adults.

We will use this information to inform the development of policy recommendations about providing care to autistic adults in general practice settings.

Who can participate?

You may be able to participate in this study if you are a GP living in Australia and:

  • are currently active in clinical practice in a general practice setting; and
  • have provided care to at least one autistic adult in a GP setting.

What is involved?

The study involves an interview about your experiences providing care to autistic adults and what things you think should be included in policy recommendations about providing care to autistic adults within general practice settings. You may participate by email, telephone, online video conference or instant message.

The interview may last between 30 – 45 minutes. If you take part in the interview, you will be given a gift card worth $50.
