Mental health, wellbeing & suicide prevention in autism

This study aims to improve what we know about suicide and suicide prevention of autistic people.

Who can participate? 

People who have previously participated in the Autism CRC Longitudinal Study of Australian School Leavers with Autism (SASLA) or Australian Longitudinal Study of Autistic Adults (ALSAA) are eligible to participate in this study.

What is involved?

This study involves an online survey (about 45-60 minutes) and some online interviews (about 60-90 minutes).

Participants will be reimbursed $75 for their time and may be invited to complete another interview later, which will be reimbursed a further $45.

Recruitment for this study has now closed.  

This study is being conducted by Dr Darren Hedley at La Trobe University, with researchers from Deakin University, Orygen, University of Melbourne, and University of New South Wales. It is funded through the National Suicide Prevention Research Fund, administered by Suicide Prevention Australia.
