Celebrating our milestones and achievements for the year

Autism CRC hosted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 2 November 2017 at the University of Queensland’s Institute for Social Science Research. On the night we shared our milestones and achievements with board members, staff and participants. Copies of Autism CRC’s 2016-17 annual report were also distributed on the night and can be downloaded here.

Following our AGM, special guests Dane Waites and his mother Junee Waites joined us to tell us more about Dane’s incredible recent achievement. After 14 years of training, Dane accomplished his dream of running 4,000 kilometres – from Perth to his hometown of Pambula in New South Wales – in support of autism and mental health. Dane’s three-month journey started in June and raised money to support Autism CRC, Autism Spectrum Australia and Beyond Blue.

We applaud Dane for his outstanding achievements and it was wonderful to thank him on the night for his generous support and his remarkable achievement.
