Congratulations to Anna Urbanowicz on her Fulbright Scholarship!

Anna Urbanowicz Fullbright ScholarshipAutism CRC would like to offer a heartfelt congratulations to our scholar, Anna Urbanowicz, for receiving the highly prized Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholarship to work on improving the hospital experience for adult patients on the autism spectrum.

Anna is an Autism CRC postdoctoral research fellow at The University of Queensland and currently manages numerous research projects aimed at improving the health and well-being of adults on the autism spectrum.

For her Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholarship, Anna will work with a team at Portland State University who bring together the academic and autistic communities to conduct research relevant to the needs of adults on the spectrum. This team has developed an online Healthcare Toolkit for adults on the spectrum, their support persons and primary healthcare providers.

Anna’s project will adapt this toolkit for use in hospitals with the aim of improving the hospital experience for adult patients on the spectrum, their support persons and hospital staff.
