Abstract

Autistic people often face barriers when trying to access mental health services and supports. However, most research in this area only reports data from one or two viewpoints. We wanted to understand the bigger picture, so we asked a range of people with different experiences and perspectives to share their views on what happens when autistic people seek mental health care in Australia.
