The Neurodiversity Advantage
Learn from the growing number of organisations benefiting from the skills and strengths of a neurodiverse workforce through the employment of individuals on the autism spectrum.
Date Friday 19 October 2018
Time 9:00am - 3:15pm
Venue ANZ Bank, 833 Collins Street Docklands, VIC
This October, we invite you to attend the Autism @ Work Summit 2018 and join us in exploring the Neurodiversity Advantage.
Hear from organisations investing in a more neurodiverse workforce (such as ANZ; Google; EY; JP Morgan Chase; Ford; Microsoft; SAP; SunPork Farms; and the Department of Defence, Home Affairs and Human Services), about the resulting benefits of better engaging the skills and interests of all employees, not just those on the autism spectrum.
You will also hear engaging keynote presentations from Paulette Penzvalto, autism advocate and Google employee from Silicon Valley; and Jeanette Purkis, autism employment advocate, writer and speaker.
We are pleased to confirm there are no attendance fees for the Summit. Places are limited however, so we encourage you to register early to avoid disappointment.
The day’s program will also include:
- Panel discussions on a range of topics, including getting started; autistic women and employment; and working in the financial services
- The latest in employment research and tools being used by employers and autistic individuals
- Interactive sessions on the business case for neurodiversity in the workplace
- An overview of programs providing pathways through tertiary education and training to employment, such as the neurodiversity hubs
An Employment Fair will be held following the Summit, where service providers, current employers, and autistic employees will be available for autistic individuals and their families to meet and chat about neurodiversity employment programs and experiences.
Registrations will close on 12 October, or as soon as we reach venue capacity. We would also welcome your organisation’s participation in the Employment Fair in the afternoon.
If you have any questions about the Summit, or to express your interest in participating in the Employment Fair, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you at the Summit on 19 October 2018.
